DON HARSTAD
Don Harstad is an internationally-known mystery writer. He's a down-to-earth,
feet-on-the-ground guy who enjoys a good laugh at himself and others. He crafts masterful stories, and keeps our seat in our
seat as we travel with him through his stories. Don's the author of Eleven Days, Known Dead, The Big Thaw,
Code Sixty-One, and A Long December. He's been a speaker at every retreat we’ve held, and continues to
be supportive of our efforts. He resides in Elkader with his wife, Mary.

Denny is the owner of Iowa Photo Farm in Luana, Iowa.
A nationally-known freelance writer and photographer, he brings to his speaking engagements humor mixed with a wealth of knowledge
in the business of 35mm and digital photography. Some of his clients include the magazine Our Iowa, and the John Deere and
Massey-Ferguson companies. His passion is ag photography, but with a background in advertising, he is in the unique position
of having been on both sides of the coin, submitting pictures for review and having been the one to review them. He resides
in Luana with his wife, Gwen, who's also a writer.
